NeuroCure is a Cluster of Excellence working in the field of neurosciences at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, funded in the framework of the Excellence Initiative of the German Federal Government and the state governments. The aim is to sustainably improve the life situation of patients with neurological diseases. At the center of the interdisciplinary research network is the faster translation of scientific findings from fundamental research into clinical application.
With various measures, NeuroCure is creating sustainable structures for Berlin as a site for neuroscientific research.
The NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence is being funded since 2007 till 2017 in the framework of the Excellence Initiative by the German federal and state governments. In addition to the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Freie Universität Berlin, the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), the Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) and the Deutsche Rheuma-Forschungszentrum (DRFZ) participate in NeuroCure.
